Overview
Project READ-ASD would love to partner with your school to study ways to improve the reading comprehension and vocabulary acquisition skills of students in grades 4–8 who have autism. Trained tutors will provide one-on-one, 30-minute tutoring sessions daily covering 50 evidence-based designed lessons. Students will be randomized to either receive the lessons or serve as a comparison. All students will participate in screening and testing. We will work with schools during the 2023–2024, 2024–2025, and 2026–2027 school years.
Eligibility
Students with autism in grades 4–8 who have difficulties with reading comprehension are eligible. Students nominated by their teachers will be screened for participation. Parent/guardian and student assent is required.
