Description
This presentation, given in Houston at the 2011 Summer Program Evaluation and Research Series Conference, outlines the purpose and importance of the Promoting Adolescents’ Comprehension of Text (PACT) project, research about the word reading and comprehension of students in grades 7–12 who fail and pass the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills, research about good and poor comprehenders, and the motivation for adolescents’ reading comprehension.
