Dr. Marta Gracia—a visiting professor from the Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the University of Barcelona, Spain—collaborated this summer with MCPER Autism Spectrum Disorders Institute Fellow Dr. Nina Zuna on two research projects. The first project was a qualitative research study of the quality of life of Latino families that include a child with autism or other developmental disabilities. The other initiative was a quantitative research project examining supports and services for families of children with autism and other developmental disabilities. Gracia’s research focuses on the quality of life of Spanish families that include a member with intellectual disabilities.
