A review of the scientific literature by researchers of the MCPER Autism Spectrum Disorders Institute found a lack of empirical support for gluten-free and casein-free diets in the treatment of autism spectrum disorders (ASDs). The review is published in the current issue of Research in Autism Spectrum Disorders, an international, peer-reviewed journal. The review may have implications for the use of this popular diet to treat people with ASDs. More information about this article can be found on the institute webpage.
