Reading Buddies Study Overview for Parents and Community Members

This document provides an overview of the Reading Buddies study, including the study demographics, lesson outcomes, and academic outcomes. In the study, part of the YMCA Cross-Age Peer Tutoring Project, MCPER and Vanderbilt University partnered with YMCA after-school programs in Texas and Tennessee to test the efficacy of a cross-age peer-tutoring model using the Sound Partners reading intervention. This program aimed to reduce learning gaps for students with reading difficulties.
