Project ELEVATE, led by Letti Grimaldo and Shannon Giroir, was highlighted in the Office of English Language Acquisition’s National Professional Development Grantee Spotlight.
This year, the project is working with 100 prekindergarten to grade 3 teachers in Hays Consolidated Independent School District to enhance the quality of instruction for bi/multilingual learners through a job-embedded professional learning model.
In the Grantee Spotlight announcement, the Office of English Language Acquisition described Project ELEVATE’s professional learning sessions this summer to assist teachers with using an English-Spanish read-aloud routine developed by project researchers.
