Desirée Pallais, a member of MCPER’s Building Capacity for Response to Intervention Implementation Project, presented at the 11th Latin American Congress of Reading and Writing and 2nd National Congress, celebrated July 22–24 in Managua, Nicaragua. Of the 11 works in the conference archive, 2 are Pallais’ presentations and 5 are model lessons she created for the conference. Due to her successful participation in the conference, Pallais has been asked to be a regular contributor to a new Spanish-language educational publication. The first issue will be published in January 2012.
