MCPER is coordinating the College and Career Readiness Initiative: English/Language Arts Faculty Collaborative, a P–16 initiative that engages faculty members from Texas universities that offer teacher education programs and strengthens the college and work force readiness of Texas students through the improved preparation of teacher candidates. Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi leads the initiative for science faculty, Texas State University for mathematics faculty, and The University of Texas at Arlington for social studies faculty.
