Overview
The College and Career Readiness Initiative fosters statewide higher education collaboration on the improvement of educator quality and implementation of the Texas College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS). The English/Language Arts Faculty Collaborative engages faculty members in teacher education and English to ensure that all English/language arts teachers are fully prepared to help their students meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Purpose
To integrate the CCRS into preservice teacher education programs, to enhance teacher education so that teachers successfully address the diverse needs of today’s students, and to ensure that high school students graduate ready for college and/or careers
