Members of MCPER’s College and Career Readiness Initiative: English/Language Arts Faculty Collaborative led three presentations in March on the College and Career Readiness Standards. Overview of the College and Career Readiness Standards took place on March 25 at Texas Tech University. The other two presentations took place on March 28 at The University of Texas – Pan American: College and Career Readiness Standards: Their Scope, Teacher Preparation, and the STAAR EOC Exam and Disciplinary Literacy: Teaching Students to Read Complex Material in the Content Areas.
