Summer Ducloux, a doctoral student in UT’s Autism and Developmental Disabilities Program and member of MCPER’s Autism Spectrum Disorders Institute, has won the 2011 Student Award for Excellence in Knowledge, Support, or Empowerment, awarded by the Texas Chapter of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD). ASD Institute Fellow Dr. Nina Zuna submitted the nomination, which Institute Director Dr. Mark O’Reilly and Fellow Dr. Terry Falcomata supported. The AAIDD Texas Chapter website features a photo of Ducloux receiving the award.
