Myriam Lopez, a researcher with MCPER’s External Evaluation of RAISEup project and doctoral student in educational psychology, will lead a brown bag presentation titled “Continuous Latent Variable Interactions in Structural Equation Modeling” from noon to 1 p.m. on December 12 in the Pittenger Room (SZB 418). To RSVP, send an e-mail with “Lopez” in the subject line to rsvp@meadowscenter.org.
Drawing upon information from a workshop hosted by Todd Little, Lopez will introduce participants to latent variable interactions and provide examples in the social sciences. She will cover two methods of estimation that can be used with Mplus: latent moderated structural equation and orthogonalizing. The discussion explore Mplus use with these methods, output interpretation, and common issues that arise during estimation.
