About the Institute
Overview
Dr. Jade Wexler, along with Dr. Sharon Vaughn and Dr. Dan Robinson, direct this institute, which is dedicated to increasing understanding of the potential causes of and interventions that may prevent school dropout (Kâ20) and increase school engagement. The strands of research within this institute focus on early intervention (pre-Kâ5), secondary intervention (6â12), and postsecondary intervention (college and graduate).
Researchers
Researchers from MCPER; the Vaughn Gross Center for Reading and Language Arts (one of our partner centers); and the Learning, Cognition, Instruction, and Motivation Program in the College of Educationâs Educational Psychology Department at The University of Texas at Austin make up this institute.
