Overview
MITOS stands for Meaningful Interactions Using Technology Outside of School. It is an interactive, game-based app funded by the U.S. Department of Education through the Education Innovation and Research program (Grant #S411B230036). MITOS is designed to provide culturally and linguistically responsive activities that strengthen students’ science vocabulary and content knowledge.

Eligibility
- 60 public schools
- All grade 2 science teachers
- Must have second-grade students on campus
- Must deliver small-group intervention two times per week for at least 25 minutes
Compensation
Teachers:
- A stipend of up to $250 for the time spent supporting data collection, including administering student assessments and participating in an online survey
- A $25 gift card for participating in a short interview (if selected)
Parents/guardians/family members:
- A $25 gift card for participating in the focus groups (if selected)
